A major problem in the mining business has been brought to light by a recent study by State of Play, an Australian resources industry research organization: big mining companies are reluctant to innovate, which leaves explorers dependent on established players. Nearly 90% of industry professionals, according to the extensive 78-page survey, feel that explorers are not at the forefront of inventing innovative techniques. Rather, 60% feel that innovation ought to be led by major and mid-tier miners. The need to include AI into mining processes is urgent in Europe. These regions are falling behind, particularly when compared to the Americas where mining AI integration has advanced more than other regions despite having a robust industrial base and several supply chain projects. Companies in the Americas have realized that using AI to improve decision-making and streamline operations gives them a competitive advantage. This glaring difference highlights how urgently Europe must use AI to stay competitive in the global market. https://shorturl.at/3TrFZ P. Geo. Ricardo A Valls, M.
