Mount Gandeng in China's Guizhou province has become a geological curiosity due to its peculiar ability to "produce" egg-shaped stones. Located near Gongshan village, this mountain regularly expels oval rocks ranging from the size of a chicken egg to that of a basketball, particularly after heavy rains. The phenomenon has attracted scientific interest and has become a source of income for local villagers who collect and sell these unique stones.
The origin of these egg-shaped rocks remains a subject of debate among geologists. Some theories suggest that the stones are formed by combining unique mineral compositions and environmental factors within the mountain. The regular emergence of these rocks has led to local legends, with some villagers believing the mountain possesses mystical egg-laying abilities. Despite the scientific mystery, Mount Gandeng has become a popular tourist attraction, drawing visitors eager to witness this natural oddity firsthand.
