This video explains a method to estimate the position of the current erosional level with respect to the source of the mineralization you are detecting on surface using geochemistry. The method works better for rock and soil sampling, but I use it also for stream sediments, taking into consideration the mechanical aspect of such anomalies (transported down stream). I include here a modification of the method (taking into consideration the relief) and show not only how to determine, but also how to graphically represents these eroded areas using SURFER. The erosional method can also be used to categorize your anomalies into more or less prospective.
